Two Texas Towns Getting CableOne Gigabit Service

The residents of Aransas Pass and Port Lavaca in Texas now live in a "Gigabit city" with Cable ONE's recent launch of their new Gigabit service GigaONE by Cable ONE.

Cable ONE's Aransas Pass office will be having a GigaONE launch party on Friday, May 11 to celebrate. The party will have free pizza and refreshments. There will also be prizes like an iPad, an XBOX ONE, and an Apple TV.

"GigaONE will support the technology needs of the communities we serve, now and in the future," said Cable ONE's Director of Residential Marketing, Varn Chavez. "We are excited to be able to offer Gigabit service to nearly 1.5 million homes in the markets we serve."

More than $770 million has been invested over the past five years by Cable ONE on network upgrades and other improvements to bring the latest technology and faster speeds to CableONE customers in Texas and elsewhere.

In many markets, Cable ONE offers cable, Internet and phones, and they are the first cable and Internet provider to offer gigabit service in these areas.

The new Cable ONE Gigabit speeds will allow customers to download:

100 songs in just a few seconds
An HD movie in a minute or less
A video game in less than 30 seconds

"Our extensive fiber network deployment and continued investment in improving and expanding our network enables us to offer the fastest, most reliable Internet connections at the best value, while contributing to the economic development of the communities we serve," Chavez said.
